Sonoma by Limo: Winding Through Wine Country
If you get a chance to visit Sonoma County the first week in March, are you ever in for a treat! Most of our recommended limousine tours happen after dark, but this one is a magnificent daylight adventure.
Sonoma, you must know, is California's premier wine-producing district. And of course, wine tasting is probably the county's most popular adult recreation. Drinking age in California is twenty-one, so if you've lived that long, by all means read on. Hiring a luxurious US Coachways limo is without a doubt the smartest, safest, most comfortable way to participate in the 'Russian River Wine Road', which takes place all over the valley from March 3-5, 2006. This year's 'Wine Road' will have well over one hundred unique wineries opening their cellar doors to you. This is a barrel-sampling event where you may try wines before they're bottled and even purchase 'futures', reserving your delicious wine while it's still hanging on the vine.
A day devoted to wine tasting is a day when you flat-out do not want to drive. Not at all. This is simply the perfect day to have a fabulous, professionally driven limousine at your beck and call. When you take part in the Russian River Wine Road, you purchase a glass at the first winery for a mere five dollars, and then take that glass to as many other participating wineries as you like. See what we mean by this being the perfect time to have a chauffeur escorting you around? A limo is the absolute safest way to see Sonoma, especially during the Wine Road exposition. Traditionally, wine tasters spit their samples into a collective bucket, but really-- who wants to do that? Enjoy all the vintage grape juice you like, knowing that your dedicated driver will deliver you safely home at the end of the day.
Eventually the sun gets low in the sky over the Pacific and it's time to say goodnight to the vineyards and head back into town. A lovely dinner awaits you in Bodega Bay, at the Bay View Restaurant located at 800 Coast Highway One. Dine on scrumptious Pacific sea bass, fat lobster tails or whatever else tickles your fancy. Linger over your meal, relish the last rays of the sunset and be certain to thank your driver for the fabulous cruise.
