Although it is a major part of your big event, many couples do not actually pay enough attention to their wedding music. Sure, they will go through the motions of hiring a DJ or a band and possibly even both. But, when it comes to the actually music being played, many couples tend to leave it in the hands of the professionals. However, you may find that it will come out sounding much better in the end if you actually become involved in the process of actually choosing the wedding music itself.
This process can go far beyond just picking what songs you want played during the ceremony or for the first dance. A great number of couples are choosing to come up with some sort of a theme to their wedding music to go along with the same theme for the big event itself. Also, it is generally a great idea to come up with some kind of mix that will work well with all of your guests. Even though your younger friends or attendants may enjoy heavy metal, it does not necessarily mean that the older generations in attendance will enjoy the same heavy beats.
Sit down with your partner and make a general list of some of the songs that you would want to be played. You can even add in certain songs into your wedding that may remind you of different times within your relationship, such as a first date and so on. The next step would be to sit down with your DJ or a member or your live act so that you can go over all of the details of your wishes with them. Make sure that you have fun with your wedding music, as this is something that you should never stress out about.
