If you choose to have a Halloween wedding, but still want the wedding to be elegant, you need to read this. You can make your wedding fun, and elegant at the same time. You don't need ghosts and ghouls for elegant décor, but you can take some of the nicer elements of the day and incorporation them into a Halloween wedding theme. For instance, you can use orange, purple, or black linens for color and class. Instead of carving Jack O'Lanterns, you can use a small pumpkin, and carve an elegant, elaborate design in and use it as a centerpiece with a candle inside. For favors, you can give your guests a crystal candy dish with your favorite treats inside.
Of course, don't forget that Halloween is in the fall. Use the vivid red, orange, and gold fall flowers and incorporate foliage into the bouquets. You can also hang orange, black, yellow, or purple twinkle lights. If you fancy making your own linens, drape your tables with black, very dark purple, or midnight blue cloth. Use silver, gold, bronze, or orange glitter paint to decorate those cloths with stars, moons, and elegant swirls. You can have themed foods as well. Weave vines or leaves throughout the food as décor if you are having a buffet table, and you can do the same with the bar.
You can also stack bales of hay at the corners of the dance floor, and place pumpkins and autumn leaves on them. You can also use autumn vegetables, such as multicolored corn with husks attached, gourds, and squash.
