When you are going through all of your important plans for your wedding day, the last thing that you really want to have to worry about is your reception seating. Many couples today have been choosing to forego the idea of assigned seating to eliminate what can sometimes cause quite a few headaches down the road. This way, they do not have to worry about a certain Aunt sitting next to a relative that she has not talked to in ten years and so on. During the past couple of decades, a good number of couples have been choosing to have their entire wedding party sitting at the head table with them. Of course, there is always the exception of the Ringer Bearer and Flower Girl, because they are often seated at the children's table or with their parents at their table. The entire wedding party sitting altogether at the head table can create quite a dramatic look, especially if you have a fairly large amount of people in your party.

Many couples have even made a point to have just the two of them at the head table, or maybe the addition of the Maid or Matron of Honor along with the Best Man. You need to keep in mind that it is your wedding and you have all of the power to set up your head table as you see fit. There is no standard rule to follow when it comes to setting up and planning your reception seating on your big wedding day.
