The path to the aisle can be a crazy one. Some days it's exciting and happy, and other days it could make you want to rip your hair out. Wedding planning stress is common, but here are some things you can do to curb the stress.

Get a massage; it's a great way to relieve tension. Contact a local spa about stress relieving treatments such as massage, facials, and soothing herbal treatments. And don't forget to drink plenty of water. Better yet, sign up for a yoga class or gathering a couple of months before the wedding. You can take a beginner class where you will learn breathing and relaxation techniques as well as posturing, and these things will have you totally relaxed and centered for your wedding day.

Some days a nice hot relaxing bath will help. A hot bath can help relax both your muscles and your mind. Invest in some high quality bath products like skin conditioning soaks and salts, creams, lotions, and oils. Choose products with skin soothing ingredients in scents that make you feel happy and relaxed. While you're in the tub you could loofah or exfoliate rough spots with a pumice stone.

Get out and find interesting things to do! Go out and get a breath of fresh air. No cell phones, pagers, or PDAs. Maybe even just an mp3 player for some music. You don't have to go far. Take a walk in a local park or even just around your neighborhood. Tune out what's stressing you out, and just concentrate on your steps and your breathing.

Get lost in a good book. Get yourself that novel you've been meaning to read, and give your brain a well-deserved rest. You could even choose a novel that takes you to the place where you're headed for your honeymoon. Maybe a romantic comedy or a page turning suspense novel is more to your liking.

Start a journal. Write down the thoughts that are racing through your mind. Write your worries, fears, joys, and stresses down on paper. Sometimes simply getting it down on paper is all you need. Try a blank book, which will encourage stream of consciousness writing. Don't worry about grammar, spelling, or perfect sentence structure. Just write whatever pops into your head. Write about your future goals, or write about why you are marrying this person you love so much. This will help to remind you that the stress will be worth it, and remind you why you are doing all of this.
