Say Cheese! A Quick Guide to Wedding Cameras
There is a new trend in weddings that’s emerged over the last couple of years. Disposable cameras at the reception, for guests to use to shoot pictures during the wedding are the new trend for weddings, especially for those who want tons of pictures, without paying professional photographers’ prices for TONS of pictures. Sounds easy right? Well there are a few things that need to be taken into consideration, so it’s not completely easy! This article will go over a few of those considerations, so that you will know what you need to get those great pictures!
It seems simple enough, you go to the store to grab a couple of dozen disposable cameras, and that’s it right? When you get there though, you realize there are dozens of choices in disposable cameras. What should you buy?
To be on the safe side, try to get cameras that have a flash, 400 speed would be good for just about any occasions. These should run anywhere from $4 to $6 each, but try and keep an eye out for sales or multi-pack specials! There are also wedding themed cameras available for you to purchase.
How many do you need? Well, try to put at least one camera on each table, but consider having two or more per table if your tables are large and seat more than four to six people. Keep in mind that these cameras will have anywhere from 24 to 36 exposures (pictures) each, and you will need to pay for developing and printing!
If you decided not to buy the wedding themed cameras, you can still personalize them! You can print labels with your names, and the date, to put on the cameras. Also, consider putting a label on the back with a cute verse about leaving the camera for you and your new spouse to enjoy! Have a bridesmaid or groomsman, or even a parent collect the cameras at the end of the night. You can also consider copying the pictures to a CD and sending a copy of that CD to your guests with your thank you notes.
