Dress For A Military Wedding
Anyone who has been to a military wedding has probably witnessed an amazing and patriotic display. After all, those who serve our country are proud to wear their uniforms and they stand by the tradition of wearing them on their wedding day as well. It is quite amazing to see such a wonderful and elegant touch when such uniforms are worn on such a special day.
When you are trying to coordinate the dress for a military wedding, it is important that you know what different uniforms are worn depending on the season as well as the level of formality for the big day. During the summer months, you may want to opt for the lighter uniform. For winter or colder months, full dress will look wonderful. The same goes depending on whether or not you are planning a formal or informal wedding. Full dress uniforms are obviously more appropriate for a formal wedding and so on and so forth.
If all of the gentlemen on the groom's side are in the military as well, you can have them all wear their uniforms so that they match. Take care to have all of the men wear white gloves as well, with the exception of the best man along with the groom so that they can take care of the rings without any problems. If you happen to have guys in the party who are not military, then you can just have the groom in uniform and have the rest of the groom's side wear tuxedos or suits, depending on the level of formality of your event.
For brides who are members of the military, you will also have the choice of either wearing your uniform or a wedding dress. If you do choose to wear a dress, it is always best to wear one that matches up nicely with the guys, depending if they are in full dress or not. There is also the lovely option of picking bridesmaids gown that will nicely compliment the men's attire. Just remember that this is your special day when you are choosing your dress attire for your military wedding.
