How to Write Your Own Vows
Your wedding is unique. It is your special day and you will want everything to be exclusively designed for your wedding. Your dress, your flowers, your bridesmaids and your decorations all show your own personal flair, but have you considered having custom wedding vows?
Writing your own wedding vows was once very commonplace - as time went by it became more traditional to simply repeat vows and perhaps take a moment out in the ceremony and give a short speech on how much your intended means to you, but this doesn't take the place of the personal thought and feeling that has to go into creating your own vows.
Personal vows are just that - personal. You can tell your beloved how much they mean to you, reminisce about when and how you met and how that meeting has changed your life for the better, name your intended's best qualities and why that makes you love them.
Tell them how much you look forward to spending your life with them and if you have a special nickname for them, use it. Make your wedding vows intensely personal and have them written out in a fine calligraphy style and placed in your wedding book along with your wedding photos.
Each time you read them, you will be transported back to your special day when you both declared your love for each other and your intent to spend your lives together.
