Planning A Prom In Chicago IL
Chicago is a city throbbing with activity and growth and as Chicago rolls into prom season (as with all the other cities in the country), I remember planning proms during my years in Chicago. I always have the most amazingly fun time doing that! The highlight of my Chicago proms have always been stepping into a rented limousine looking, feeling and wanting to be like a Princess with a (not so handsome) partner for the prom. I don’t know if the feeling is exclusive to only proms in Chicago, I have this feeling that everything pulsates so much more in Chicago. The limousine we rented was amazingly clean….if it gets any cleaner, it must have just rolled out of the showroom! I love it…the feeling of arriving in the prom limo at the Chicago prom destination and stepping out with all those people watching! Doesn’t that simply make you want to just….do a royal wave?
Anyway, although planning a Chicago prom is not any different from planning other proms in other cities and states in the US, I had the most fun there. While limousine rental companies turn up the volume on advertisements, many other prom related businesses in Chicago hikes up the volume as well. For example, the party favors business! You cannot, I repeat, CANNOT have a proper prom in Chicago without having party favors. It simply is not polite. With a list of people who have confirmed their attendance, in my personal opinion, the committee members should have paid special attention to getting some reasonably good but memorable party favors for the Chicago prom that they’re planning.
Which reminds me….I had this absolutely beautiful keychain from one Chicago prom and then there was also a little tiara for the girls and bows the guys. PERFECT. Then one time, I helped the committee members for one Chicago prom get decorative wine glasses as party favors…yeah, cost them a bit of a bomb but they didn’t mind as they’ve calculated that into their budget and we had a HUGE discount from the online store we bought it from.
