The Weight Of Using Creative Invitation For Events
It’s boring whenever I receive an invitation, be it a wedding, a birthday or an annual dinner of some sort, to see that the invitation sent is devoid of any creativity at all. Most of the time, individuals or corporations spend no time at all in customizing the invitations for the Orlando FL event because they relegate its importance down as secondary to the ‘real thing’. I beg to differ because it makes a whole world of difference…especially if you want people to remember the Orlando FL event for a long time to come. It’s the same way people would remember it when you wear a really classy dress or a designer tux, people will remember your Orlando FL event better if you put a little more thought into the invitation.
Short of customizing it by hand-making it, there are many other ways to customize the invitation design without breaking your fingers or your bank budget. One of the best ways is to get an Orlando FL freelance graphic designer to come up with a completely unique and personalized invitation for your event. If it’s a wedding, incorporating your favorite activities together or a favorite personality or quote from someone famous would be good. Personally, I would remember the invitation to the Orlando FL event more if the design was of a non-conventional color. For instance, for a wedding invitation, people would normally choose white, beige, off-white, pink or red. Instead, I think it would be equally appropriate to use colors like light purple, magenta, yellow or even turquoise.
Another way to personalize the invitation to your event is to theme it. You can theme it according to your favorite movie (one of my personal favorite was a friend’s wedding invitation which was themed after ‘When Harry Met Sally’), favorite activities (tennis or basketball, clubbing or shopping, take your pick!) or even the weather (autumn, spring, winter or summer). A friend delivered the invitation to his parents’ 40th year anniversary by hand-delivering a thermos of chicken soup with a note on it! Talk about creativity and putting a lot of thought into the invitation – my hats off to him! The thermos was specially designed and printed with the invitation on it, had a really nice picture of the couple and we get to keep the free thermos!
There was one time I had to come up with a wedding invitation for a couple who were holding their wedding in Orlando FL and I ran out of ideas for the design. My, then, five-year-old niece walked into the room and asked me what I was doing and I replied, “I can’t think of anything for a wedding invitation”. She laughed, grabbed a piece of paper and drew stick figures on it…with veil, bow-tie, flowers, a wedding ring on the side.
Viola! I got a graphic designer to recreate the piece properly for print and there you have it…a unique wedding invitation…artist, my niece!
