What are Bridesmaid Duties?

Thursday, February 15. 2007
A bridesmaid, though the position is the butt of many jokes, is an integral part of a wedding. The bridesmaids are on hand to comfort, console, multitask, and attend all bridal events. Here is a brief job description for you to follow.

Offer to help with pre-wedding tasks

Try to be as specific as possible…offer to do specific things, rather than just saying “what can I do?” Scout out bridesmaid dresses, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories. Here’s a tip, break in your shoes before the wedding day. Help to plan, cohost, and pay for the shower and bachelorette party with the other bridesmaids.

If the Maid of Honor is not already handling this task, keep a record of all gifts received at events, and maintain RSVP lists. Attend the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Run last minute errands.

On the Wedding day
Be available to confirm delivery times, meet and greet vendors, or even satisfy junk food cravings. Serve as auxiliary hostess at the reception, by introducing and directing guests when needed. Hit the dance floor when the music starts! Keep an eye out for guests who might need a dance partner!

Give the maid of honor a break when needed. Purchase a wedding gift with one or several of the bridesmaids. This provides more buying power, and you can all kick in for one knock your socks off gift! Be a trooper, no matter how stressful things become. Never complain about the dress choice, be gracious and tactful. Last but not least, provide plenty of emotional support.

Thursday, February 8. 2007
Limo & Leisure Blog - Prom A prom night marks an important milestone for teenagers, so it is very important that it is a night filled with memorable moments, and not one wrecked with problems, such as a broken down transport or getting lost on the way to the party. Hiring a limousine for the prom night is an absolute necessity when traveling on an unfamiliar route complete with a group of excited teenagers.

Prom Limousine Pointers:

You know best, but others may know better Get referrals from your friends or family members. If they have had great, professional service from their past experiences with a particular limousine company, do not hesitate to get the contact numbers from them. A verbal recommendation from a trusted source is always much better than one that you read in the newspaper or internet.
