Having been in the limousine rental business, I’ve come across many people asking to rent limousines within the US for many different functions like proms, weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays and other special business events. It occurred to me that some of the limousine customers are not asking the right question before they hand over their credit card when booking a US limousine. Perhaps, they’re not clear as to what they should and have to ask before renting a limousine. I would like to take the opportunity to just set the record straight so that you don’t end up being duped by a limousine rental company.

Planning the prom should be like all other types of planning activities. First of all, on the agenda, you must have FUN FUN FUN planning the prom. This is based on experience, of course, so the committee members that you pick for the prom should be people who like to have fun too. I mean, I just cannot imagine a bunch of people who thinks the prom is a bad idea planning the prom. This is definitely the biggest party of the year…every year, so, although it’s serious business (because you want to things to go right) it should be done and planned with a lot of fun and smart thinking as well.

By the time you’ve got the engagement party over and done with, it’s time to think of the wedding ring. And oh boy, everyone knows the wedding ring is a big thing (as if anything related to a wedding isn’t). Recently, a friend of mine decided to have her wedding ring customized. Yes, as in design it herself and got it customized! It was amazing. Be warned that it can burn a big hole in the bank account but from the looks on the wedding couple’s faces, every cent was well-spent. So, if you have the budget for it, why not bring out the drawing board and start sketching your own wedding ring?

Every time the word ‘prom’ is said, the first thing I think about is fairytale princesses, handsome princely men, fabulous ballroom and of course…the prettiest ever red-carpet-deserving prom dresses. This year, I’ve taken a peep at some of the prom dresses available on the internet for the year and I am kind of elated with the designs and variety. But it would be a big mistake for you to take on the first prom dress that takes your fancy. There are many other things to consider and think about before you start begging your parents for their credit cards.

You don't always have to have your wedding in a grand hotel ball room. I remember attending a friend's so-called 'frugal' wedding in the form of a garden BBQing session with friends and I have lots more precious memories about it compared to others in ballrooms with huge settings. So, if the budget is a concern, don't throw out the idea of having your wedding outdoors because it's relatively cheaper this way. And definitely more fun!
Taking your wedding outdoors means that you'll have to consider your catering options if you're not keen on cooking for hundreds of wedding guests. I did a little bit of surfing and found these to be rather reliable catering services. Give it a go.
