Different Weddings, Different Rules
If you have friends who are getting married in Orlando FL and you know that they are pretty religious by nature, then it is time to learn a little bit about wedding traditions before attending it. Here are short snippets about wedding traditions for different religions.
Jewish wedding in Orlando FL – The S'eudah Mitzvah which is chicken and fish are fertility symbols and there is also a pudding that made out of coconut milk and served with honey and almonds (yum!) that is supposed to wish the couple a sweet, long and happy married life. Kosher is often served and it is sometimes the one thing to look forward to! Imagine the salmon, tomato, artichoke, tuna and Romanian tenderloin too! Absolutely scrumptious. And then during an Orlando FL Jewish wedding, you get to play a chair game called The Hora where the bride and the groom risk are raised over the singing, dancing crowd's heads.
Latin-American wedding – Don't be offended if your Latin American best-friend did not get you to be one of her bridesmaid. There are no bridesmaids and groomsmen for Argentinean weddings. Only the couple's close family members are permitted anywhere near the stage where the couple is getting married. Chilean couples wear their wedding rings from the day that they are engaged so, you did NOT miss the wedding reception. The only thing that happens to those rings after the wedding is that it gets shifted to the other hand. It is not uncommon to find yourself jiggying it up to Mexican music instead of romantic pop songs over the sound system.
Asian wedding in Orlando FL – The Sake-Sharing ceremony is much like most Asian weddings. It is usually known as a san-san-kudo although most modern Japanese no longer use this term. For the Japanese, sake-sharing is a form of bonding. Asian weddings are usually incredibly fun and the betrothal of the bride is one of the most fun things to do....for the bride and her girl friends! The groom and his band of brothers would usually make their way to the bride's home. And then they would be made to perform hilarious stuff in order to gain access to the bride. The 'brothers' would help the groom perform those atrocious tricks designed by the bride and her friends. Once the bridesmaids are satisfied with the men's antics, the groom will 'get' his bride.
