Wedding Shoes Cheat-Sheet
Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day – that's a given. But does that mean she should sacrifice her comfort (and maybe even health) for the chance of looking beautiful? Certainly, there are ways to get around having to wear heels almost the entire day, walking around trying to look glamorous going from one venue to the other. This could be particularly taxing if you have an elaborate wedding.
Heels is almost a must for every bride because it makes your legs look longer but here are some things that people don't tell you that you can get away with.
For example, we had a bride who was our Detroit party bus limousine rental customer who hid flats in the wedding limo, in the car, in the hotel room and have one of her bridesmaid carry a plastic bag around with her containing...yes, you've guessed it, flats!
'It was a complete nightmare to be on your feet all day long on those killer heels because I am accustomed to just sitting down in the office writing legal letters. And for those times, I secretly take them off. And when no one's looking and if there is absolutely no need to cramp my little toes into those heels, I wear my lovely flats all around the office. Sometimes, you just have to love yourself more,' smiles Trina who got married last August.
Apparently, Trina is not the only one who can't stand standing around all day in heels – wedding or not. So, do as she did – hide the flats everywhere so that when the moment presents itself, you kick the heels off.
But for those moments that you MUST wear your heels, here are a few fun facts about wearing heels that you can take comfort in.
You will be the envy of everyone you meet on your wedding day because your legs appear to go on and on and on and on...and to achieve this effect, you don't have to wear heels that are too high. A little elevation goes a long way. Although you hate the pointy-looking high heels, regale in the fact that the pointier it is, the longer your legs look. Your spouse will end up being the envy of every man in your wedding reception.
And here's one more from our cheat-sheet. If your gown touches the floor, as with many types of wedding gowns, who's to know that you're not wearing heels, eh?
