Prom Limousine Rental Myths Busted!
“Not rent a limousine for my prom?? You've got to be kidding...that would be the end of my teenage high school years and I don't get to go riding a limousine. No princess treatment. No celebrity locks and rides. Might as well not go to the prom!” This was what I heard from a friend's daughter recently. The mother was protesting about the prom limousine rental business and the daughter was totally beyond aghast at the idea of NOT renting a limousine for it. Of course, after having a conversation with the friend of mine, the daughter won and she will get to ride in a dream limousine to her prom along with her friends.
I think it's imperative for parents to understand that the society that we live in now is different from what we used to live in. Today, the teenagers and the whole prom shenanigan is a lot more dramatic and important than it used to be. The prom sort of marks the end of teenhood and the end of high school...well, something like that, anyway. Back then, we used to hitch a ride with friends or some even cycle to the prom. But today, renting a limousine for the prom is something most of the teens do these days. There's this magical feeling of riding in a rental limousine to the prom that is indescribable. It's once in a lifetime thing, why shouldn't it be important. One person can get divorced and married again in the future but one cannot reverse time and attend the prom again! THIS, to me, is how important the prom is, so, yes, I second the idea of renting a limousine for the prom.
The funny thing is that some people continue to think that renting a prom is for the rich and famous. Not so. If you ask around, you'll see that lots of teenagers have managed to work during summers, save up some money and then pool the money together with their friends to rent a limousine for the prom. It's cheap when you rent a limousine in a group.
And besides, consumers are spoiled for choice these days – all you have to do is to count who's in and then rent the right sized limousine for the night.
