Mingei International Museum (San Diego)
You may not believe that the Mingei International Museum in San Diego was built back in 1978 because of how great it looks on the outside but this non-profit institution has been around for more than thirty years. The founder of the museum is Martha Longenecker who was a pottery master craftsman and who went to Japan to further deepen her understanding about the art. She came back inspired enough to found this museum.
The spacious forty one thousand square foot facility organizes regular exhibits and activities centering on pottery, toys, paintings, sculpturing and even jewelry-making; basically, this museum celebrates every artistic form of self expression and they make concerted effort to help budding artists grow in their art. Some of our San Diego party bus limousine rental customers love bringing college and school-going kids here to help them understand these artistic pieces of art on a profound level.
Ever since they opened their premiere exhibition called Dolls and Folk Toys of the World, the museum’s been catching the attention at an international level. As this is a non-profit organization, Mingei also helps fun other social efforts like in 1997, Mingei helped complete, construct, design and equip Balboa Park Museum.
Just like booking a San Diego party bus limousine rental package with US Coachways, it is highly recommended that you give the museum’s management a call if you are heading there in a group and need their guided tours.

I found this museum boring. COuld be just me because I am not the artsy fartsy type of person. There are many other worthy places in San Diego.
