Here are some fun facts about a wedding to get you going. I know planning a wedding can be a tiresome affair because you want everything to be perfectly magical. But relax a little and continue reading because you might learn something new about weddings here.
A wedding cannot be a wedding without a Best Man. The best man and the bridesmaid are totally necessary for a wedding, for me at least, although some wedding couples go ahead without the best man and bridesmaid for their own reason. But if you had a choice, pick one of your best friends (or some of them) as your best man or best men. He is the one who walks down the aisle with the bridesmaid, stands by the wedding groom with the wedding ring and signs on your marriage certificate as your witness. The best man is also the first person who offers a toast to the wedding bride and groom.
Most of us will have only one, two or three bridesmaid depending on the size of your wedding but actually, you can have more than that….traditionally, you can actually have twelve bridesmaids for your wedding. The bridesmaids pay for their own gowns, contribute significantly toward the shower, gifts, contribute energy for the rehearsal and in organizing the wedding together with the bride. Now, if you don’t call that best friend, I don’t what you would call one.
Flowers are a must during a wedding. In one single wedding, you have had bought more flowers in your lifetime because you’ll be using the flowers during your wedding for bouquets, boutonniere for groom, ushers, fathers, uncles, corsages for mothers, sisters and aunties, decoration for church and dinner venue, centerpieces, flower petals for the flower girls to throw during the wedding march, and many other things.
If you’re trying to save some money, don’t have your wedding reception during a Saturday because it’s the costliest then. Weddings are typically held on Saturdays and many people hike up the price of stuff on Saturdays. Instead, choose a Friday or a Sunday which are just as good and it will save you quite a fair bit.
