Smile And Have Fun On Your Prom
Recently had a conversation with my friends’ kids about their recent prom nights lately and I discovered something that I have completely forgotten about. And that is the fact that prom nights are so overhyped that many teenagers face stress and anxiety a couple of nights before the prom. Just like the bride and groom during the wedding day, teenagers have problems dealing with prom nights too. The fact is a little worrying because proms is a night to celebrate and have fun, instead some kids are unnecessarily stressed out and anxious about the whole thing. Instead of anticipating it, the kids dread prom night!
The problem arises because prom night has become larger than life. With all the dazzle and sparkle injected into a simple, classy and memorable affair has turned prom night into Halloween instead, for some teens. The issues teens face during prom includes having dates (or none), branded clothing, the kind of limousine they are able to rent, competing amongst each other, dancing, drinking, and fear of being left out the whole prom night. The stigma of being cast as wallpaper is still very real in this modern age.
Date – If you don’t have a date for the prom (which a lot of people don’t have too), just ask one of your girl friends or buddies to accompany you to the prom. It can also be in a group. The most important thing, remember, is to have as much fun as you can during the prom.
Branded Clothing – Depending on the kind of school you attend and the neighborhood you live in, some kids might compare your dress with your others. To counter this problem, just concentrate on having fun. As long as you did your best to look your best and when you look in the mirror and feel that that person looking back is ready to have fun, then be it.
Limousine – Limousine rental for a prom is great and it adds class to the event. Nothing beats arriving in a limousine all dressed up during the prom. But if you cannot afford it, either pool up some money with some friends or catch a ride from your friend’s father. Who cares?
The whole point of having a prom is lost when teens are having fears instead of having fun. Listen, prom night comes once in a lifetime and this is the kind of night whereby you let your hair go and have lots of fun so that you can look back when you’re eighty and smile. So smile and have fun instead!
