Home Pedicure Remedy For Prom Night

A lot of girls these days flock to the pedicure and manicure center to get their fingernails and toenails prepped up for the prom. Although this should be the ideal picture, not a lot of us have the kind of cash to splash! Why not save the money for the prom limousine instead because with the prom limousine, you’ll already get the adequate dose of glamour and class. But that’s not to say that you can completely ignore your toenails and fingernails. Getting your pedicure and manicure done for the prom is still something you should include in your prom to-do list! But….let’s just say there are ways around the cost issue since a prom manicure and pedicure doesn’t come cheap, especially during prom season.

Let’s go with the home prom manicure and pedicure, shall we? Saves cost and it doesn’t take a professional to put a little zest back into your feet. If you can do with a friend you will be attending the prom with, all the better but if you have to do it alone, put on the aromatherapy and start pampering yourself, anyway. What you need are the following stuff:-

• Foot file
• Tissue
• Nail polish, polish remover
• Cotton bud
• Shower gel
• Essential oil for short pampering in the form of a massage
• Nail clipper

I would recommend a short foot massage for your feet because it really prepares your feet for the prom night. After all, you’re going to be either standing around chatting or dancing a lot the whole night. And then a massage with essential oil really leaves the skin on your feet a lot suppler. You won’t regret this prom regime.

Then soak your feet in a tub of warm water filled with water mixed with some shower gel or your preferred fragranced ointment. Relax and read a book about how to dazzle your prom date blind! After you’re done, dry your feet, stuff some cotton or tissue in between your toes to separate them….that way you won’t be messing up all the other toes. Run some nail polish remover to remove oil from your nails and feet. Clip your toenails short, leaving a little bit towards the edge, file the nails carefully into a squarish shape. Before applying the nail polish, apply a base coat first to avoid discoloration of your nails. There, you’re done and ready to point your toes in the right direction during prom night!
