While there are a fair number of venues for a prom in Hartford, the owners can rake up the extra bucks during prom season. And that includes hotel ballrooms too. Sure, a ballroom is good. With increased security, antique furniture, designer painting and top-of-the-line furniture and equipment, one would have to question the need for all the fanfare. Can you do without the stage? Most hotel ballroom rental packages come with meals too and that would be another concern. Think about affordability. Can the committee afford the price of renting a hotel ballroom? Can the students afford it?
