Chicago is a city throbbing with activity and growth and as Chicago rolls into prom season (as with all the other cities in the country), I remember planning proms during my years in Chicago. I always have the most amazingly fun time doing that! The highlight of my Chicago proms have always been stepping into a rented limousine looking, feeling and wanting to be like a Princess with a (not so handsome) partner for the prom. I don’t know if the feeling is exclusive to only proms in Chicago, I have this feeling that everything pulsates so much more in Chicago. The limousine we rented was amazingly clean….if it gets any cleaner, it must have just rolled out of the showroom! This is the kind of headache that we get whenever it’s prom time! It’s everything about color, fashion trend when we talk about prom night, isn’t it? Furthermore, we have to strike a balance between looking casual, not overdone like a Christmas turkey yet not look ‘yesterday’. I find it particularly difficult to deal with handbags, don’t ask me why. There are too many options out there in the market, I guess. But I’ve scoured the web for a lot of handbags and I wanted to see what people were up to these days, you see. And I am happy to say that I found a couple of noteworthy handbags that you might want to consider ‘grabbing’ off the Internet for your prom.

A lot of girls these days flock to the pedicure and manicure center to get their fingernails and toenails prepped up for the prom. Although this should be the ideal picture, not a lot of us have the kind of cash to splash! Why not save the money for the prom limousine instead because with the prom limousine, you’ll already get the adequate dose of glamour and class. But that’s not to say that you can completely ignore your toenails and fingernails. Getting your pedicure and manicure done for the prom is still something you should include in your prom to-do list! While the girls have loads of choices as far as prom dresses are concerned, little can be said about prom attire for guys. It’s always the same old thing….tuxedo or….erm, a tuxedo? Match it up with your date If you have a date going to the prom with you, here’s something you can do…and she’ll appreciate it since you brought it up first. One, give your date a call a month or so before prom night and ask her what she’s wearing to the prom. If she’s uncertain, ask her what color she likes and what kind of dress she INTENDS to wear.

Lots of difference! The prom is a once in a lifetime experience and you should do everything within your power to ensure that the experience is a memorable one. It does not even matter whether you have a date or not for the prom because the most important thing is how glamorous you are going to look during prom night and how much fun you are going to having smoking the dance floor! Recently had a conversation with my friends’ kids about their recent prom nights lately and I discovered something that I have completely forgotten about. And that is the fact that prom nights are so overhyped that many teenagers face stress and anxiety a couple of nights before the prom. Just like the bride and groom during the wedding day, teenagers have problems dealing with prom nights too. The fact is a little worrying because proms is a night to celebrate and have fun, instead some kids are unnecessarily stressed out and anxious about the whole thing. Instead of anticipating it, the kids dread prom night!

As with every single prom that I’ve ever organized, read about, discussed about and advised on in all my life, the highlight of the night is always the crowning of the King and Queen of the prom. So, in order to make it a success, it’s hugely important for you to plan the crowning of the prom King and Queen early. You don’t want to start counting the votes on the night itself, do you? Well, some people DO count the votes at the very last minute but let me tell you something, it isn’t a very fun thing for the people counting the votes! Why should some of us miss out on the dancing and partying just to count votes? As with every other boy and girl…it’s their big night too!
