St. Augustine Wild Reserve (Florida)

Wednesday, June 5. 2013

florida party bus rental tourist attraction

The little ones may not appreciate the noble actions, decisions and sacrifices made by the owners of this non-profit wildlife organization but they will most definitely appreciate coming up close and personal with some of the world’s most beloved exotic wildlife. The kind of animals they are caring for belong to species that we have only heard and read about and most of us may never have seen. This is your chance to come learn something new about these animals at the St. Augustine Wild Reserve.

The thing about visiting St. Augustine Wild Reserve is that the reserve is not open to public and they only offer Florida party bus rental visitors a tour of the place when the tour is booked through an appointment for the group. The animals’ welfare is always at the top of their list of priorities, therefore, they will only permit entrance to those who are genuinely looking for a chance to learn more and care for the exotic animals. These rescued exotic wildlife creatures are also protected from photography and filming because it is believed that some of the said animals feel irritated by the filming. That is sad news for photography enthusiasts but the good news is that the organization offer charter bus rental visitors a CD filled with amazingly gorgeous pictures of the rescued creatures at the end of the tour.

The tours are usually held on Saturday and Wednesday afternoons around 2pm, the timing is set based on, once again, the animals’ welfare. For guests who feel that the rules and restrictions are stifling, the organizers are acting diligently to provide the best possible environment for these kind creatures of capture but they WILL try to customize your Florida charter bus rental tour visit if given enough notice ahead of time.

The animals are kept safe within the 7 acre worth of property and guests are given a guided tour through the place while learning about the different species, where they came from, openly discuss about the details of the sanctuary and specifics about handling them. Some Florida charter bus rental visitors said that they were completely in awe when they got the chance to come really close to a few African lions. Guests can expect similar African exotic wildlife like White Tigers (they never fail to cause amazement), Krishna, Toruk and cougars as well. The sheer number of wolves of different colors, shapes and sizes is astonishing!

The organizers emphasized again that the reserve is a non-profit organization and whatever admission fee that is charged to the visitors goes back to providing for the rescued exotic animals. Instead of opting for Euthanasia when the previous owners of these wildlife find it difficult to care for them anymore, they are sent to this shelter instead.

So, by making a quick Florida party bus rental stop at this reserve, you are doing your bit in contributing towards the welfare of these creatures of the wild.

Garcia Seafood Grille and Market (Florida)

Monday, April 8. 2013

What happens when you are born to a large family whose primary way of earning money is being fishermen is that....you come up with one of the most iconic seafood restaurant and grille in Miami, FL....well, that was what happened to the eleven Garcia family members who owns and runs the Garcia’s Seafood Grille and Market, that is.

Initially, the eleven brothers lovingly referred to by the locals as The Garcia Brothers were from the Las Villas village in Cuba. They learned the the basics of the trade from a very early age from their father who was an ardent fisherman and as such, have mastered every single tricks of the trade from very early on. As they learned and helped sustain the family, they became well-known in the Las Villas area and the popularity of their name grew to other neighborhoods as well, such as the Matanzas.

As we all know, the state of Cuba as a country back then was questionable and the family business was overtaken by the regime back then in the 1960s. The first Garcia brother made his way to Miami to start anew, the rest followed along later on and like they always say, the rest is history.

It was based on a novel idea on how to extend their services and catch that they started having grills and counters at the market. Hence, the concept of eating very fresh seafood was begun in the middle 70’s.

For the locals, this is exactly how you want to find your seafood - straight from the sea, into the nets and into the kitchen! Working folks who are short for time come for the readily-cooked stuff and stock their kitchen and refrigerators up with these fresh catches. Tourists who have never seen or heard of such a concept often find themselves enraptured with the idea and would often come back later on on their own.

What is important to remember about eating at this grille is that the people here are not trained chefs and the main order of the day is to bring people the freshest seafood that the sea has to offer. What is impressive is the fresh ingredients which can be sampled in every single bite, and of course, a fantastic view because the market and grille is actually located right along Miami river.

It is the perfect place to eat while doing some people-watching in Miami FL.

Total Wine

Monday, February 4. 2013

Total Wine is the perfect place not just for wine lovers but also an amazing attraction for beer lovers, especially if you like surprises. Total Wine is the country’s wine superstore and the largest independent retailer and distributor of wine and beer. We are not talking about your average Australian or Chilean wine here...the store distributes craft beer and fine wine like no other companies in the country. The superstore had its humble beginnings when two brothers, with their deep love for fine wine and their strong connection with winemakers, opened up two stores in Delaware. Today, they have stores across fourteen states in the country and eighty five (and counting) different superstores with the same concept in nationwide.

What differentiates Total Wine from other distributors is that their superstores are sectioned off into geographic regions and price. That is because a typical Total Wine store carries more than eight thousand different types of wines from every single region in the world. The upside is that wine lovers will know where to go to and what to grab instantly. The downside of that is that, as a newbie and novice wine collector, the experience can be confusing. We strongly suggest prior research before heading over. However, for those who are not particular about what they drink, the journey and experience is invigorating and refreshingly fun.

As mentioned, Total Wine does not distribute just wine, to add to the delight to their customers, the superstore carries more than two thousand five hundred different beers from all over the world. What is interesting is that they carry popular and hard-to-find craft beers crafted by small microbrews too. At the end of the day, you will be giving your tastebuds a journey around the world under one roof.

Because of the size and distribution channel available to Total Wine, suffice to say that the price of the wine, beer and spirit is one of the cheapest. Total Wine staff are knowledgeable about the wine, beer and spirits, so, if you ever feel like you are lost in a (delightful) maze of alcoholic beverages, the friendly staff will help point you in the right direction. In the beginning, things will be a little bit overwhelming and some say that their first time at Total Wine is completely intimidating and they ended up leaving the store without buying a single thing.

Total Wine offers weekly wine tasting programs to help customers discover more of their favorite wines. The schedule of events in on their website. The classes will bring you into a world of specific procedures, the taste of wine from other parts of the world and the amazing variety of wine that completely pleases the palates to no end.
