Craving for Vietnamese food but not feeling like eating the conventional fast-food type for dinner? Well, then it is time to be a little adventurous with LA Crawfish. People mill in and out of the Unit B-2 Memorial neighborhood food court without ever noticing how unique the crawfish here is, assuming that it is your regular Vietnamese dish. But boy, can we all be more wrong than making this very simple assumption. There is a world of difference between the conventional Vietnamese food and the ones to be found at LA Crawfish.
This quaint restaurant is tucked inside of a Chinese grocery store along Ranch Market, it might seem like a very unassuming diner. But come meal time, the place will be packed to the hilt with waiting, eager customers. The bad part about the premise is that it is not as big as it should and could be so, during peak hours, there would be long lines.
And that is the great thing with a multi-ethnic place like Houston...it is energetic, warm, and there is a very enjoyable diversity in terms of people, culture, language, the arts, and of course, food. One would expect LA Crawfish to be filled with Asian people or tourists, at least but that cannot be further from the truth. The ambiance is comfortable, welcoming and the wait staff are incredibly helpful when customers are confused or do not know what to order from their extensive menu.
Surprisingly, there is a wide variety of food that customers can pick to eat together with their Vietnamese noodles, not just crawfish although that is their selling point. Customers have come, eaten, and said that it is a mish-mash of a couple of cultures and countries. You see food that is suitable for Americans, Chinese, Thai, and of course, Vietnamese. Considering the fact that these Asian cultures DO enjoy somewhat similar food (cooked with different spices and methods), it makes perfect sense to bring them all into one simple menu.
This kid-friendly restaurant is open everyday from 10am in the morning right up to 9.30pm after serving their last customers who are there for their dinner. There is a private parking lot for their customers but luckily for our Houston party bus rental customers, there isn’t a need to hunt down one for yourself. The diner is perfect for small gatherings too when it is off-peak hours but the bad news is that they do not allow reservations of tables so, customers would indeed have to be on time to be in the line.
It is the perfect Houston party bus charter bus stop for when you are absolutely feeling adventurous and craving for something a little different during your party bus charter vacation.
